IMPORTANT FOR ALL DOG OWNERS
  • to preserve the safety of our children, we only allow small,
quiet and well behaved dogs on our grounds (max. 2 per site)
  • hyperactive, large and/or aggressive dogs are forbidden, including, but not restricted to Pit Bulls, Dobermans and German Sheppards.
  • Please confirm that you have made previous camping arrangements with our management to ensure happy camping with your pets.

  • All dog owners will be asked to sign a pet behaviour contract.
    Owners will be expected to;

  • Keep their dog(s) quiet and avoid chronic barking.

  • Keep their dog(s) on a 6 foot lead and secured at all times.

  • Pick up all dog dirt

  • Not allow their pet to intimidate any person or animal

  • Not allow pets to dig holes on park property.

  • Not allow pets in the mini golf, playgrounds,
    driving range or camp buildings.
  • Any offence of the above or other that disrupts peace, safety
or enjoyment of the persons in the park will be asked to leave
    without refund.

  • We ask that owners of any dog belonging to the
protective and/or herding breeds board their pet
during their camping visit. Thank you.

Wilderness Camping is an excitable experience for even the most
trained dogs. Our park environment can be very different for your
calm well trained dogs at home ie; lack of fences, close quarters to
new dogs and small active toddlers, squirrels and chipmunks on
your site and other new noises and sights.

We ask that you consider the potential impact this new environment
may have on your family pets and be prepared to deal with the extra
time that it may take to comfort and adjust your pets while in the
park setting. Thank you for your consideration for others.

If you plan on visiting Algonquin Provincial Park, your dog(s) may be prohibited in some areas. The fine for having your pet in a posted prohibited area within the provincial park is $65.00.
